Bad dreams
I had the worst dream last night. Well I suppose I've had worse, but it was pretty awful. My dad came to me with some information, that he found out Denis wasn't who he said he was, and that he was actually a Russian spy (I almost didn't want to say that part, because he IS Russian so it just sounds lame). Apparently he was working for some very bad people and my dad had a picture to prove it was him. The picture was him in an ER after an apparently awful incident that happened years before. He looked younger but I could tell it was him. The picture looked so real and the emotions I had felt real so the whole thing was just horrible. Seeing a picture of him in a situation I wouldn't have thought he'd be in with a horrible look of pain on his face and a doctor doing something to him and all the blood.. It was a crazy dream and I hope I never have it again. I've always had strange dreams and sometimes even scary or sad ones but I can still never just let them go. I know it's just a dream but they seem so real at the time it takes a while for the emotions to settle. Here's hoping I have pleasant dreams tonight!

Another Friday..
Again I'm quite thankful it's Friday! I don't have much planned for this weekend, and for the first time in a while I don't have any organizing to do. I finished the spare room/baby room, I just have to wait until my parents come home so I can get the turtles out of there and add the finishing touches. I also need to get some baby bedding, I should probably get on that too. It'll make the crib look more like a crib.
I'm excited to just relax this weekend. Tomorrow I'm going to Kelowna to get my carseat/stroller but other than that I have no plans, just relaxing. It should be a good one. Denis will be playing games with his friends all weekend so I'll be on my own for most things but that's okay. I have my room to retreat to now so it's great. Life is good right now... and only 5 more weeks of working.

Getting closer..
Not just to the end of my working life (6 weeks and 2 days left!), but I got the baby's room organized a couple days ago. All the furniture is where it will stay, I just have to go through the closet and get rid of all the junk! That'll be the hard part but now that I have the furniture organized I think I'll be more motivated. I hope so anyway. I have to remember to take breaks though, I was quite exhausted after a weekend of organizing the spare room. I have to remind myself I still have to go to work for another 6 weeks so I can't completely wear myself out. Monday was quite exhausting, and my feet and back were killing me. Soon it'll all be over!

Ready for the weekend..
It's official, I'm exhausted. I can definitely feel when it's Friday now. In fact it usually starts on Thursday. My feet start to ache and I'm just tired all over.
Today my heels were hurting quite bad when I got to work, I could hardly walk. It was quite painful and I'm hoping it doesn't become a habit. It seems to have calmed down now so I'm hoping the weekend will take care of the rest of it if I just take it easy.
I've been making some pretty good progress in the spare room. I've even sold a few things, which is great. I think I've made about $50 so far and I haven't even listed everything. I'm quite impressed. All I have left to go through is the closet, then I'll have to make a trip to the thrift store to drop off a bunch of stuff, and go through the stuff I've decided to keep and make sure I actually want to keep it. Hopefully I'll be left with no more than what will fit in the top part of the closet. That's all I'm allowing myself. At the end of the month Jen will take the turtles so I'll actually be able to move everything into place and start getting ready for baby! Exciting stuff.

It has begun..
Yesterday after work I started to go through my spare room in the hopes of eventually turning into a baby space. It actually went well for a first attempt. It was a little overwhelming at first but I made some progress. I even sold one thing, my white board, so I made $10. Pretty impressive. Another item is going later today, so that'll be $20 profit in 2 days, not bad for a little "spring" cleaning. Hopefully I'll get more stuff listed later today.
I also brought out a full bag of recycling, just old catalogs from my businesses and whatnot, papers I don't need anymore, that sort of thing. It felt good. I actually can't wait to get in there and do it again after work today. Especially considering later today we'll have a crib to possibly set up! I'm not sure if we'll get it set up, there may not be room. It might be smarter to wait until the turtles are gone to do that. Although the table the turtles are on will be staying in there, so that won't really create any more space I suppose. It'll just give me more space to put things on. Maybe I can move the turtles out of there for now and just put them on the floor somewhere. Maybe even in Jen's house. Who knows. We'll see what happens later.
So far so good.. I'm happy with my progress.

Baby gear..
I don't think I've mentioned on here yet that I'm expecting.. but I am. Tomorrow will be 24 weeks, exciting!
Also exciting.. gathering baby gear. I have to admit I'm just barely starting now, although I know a few people who are just as far along as me but have their whole nursery set up already. We're not doing the typical nursery, totally baby themed. The room baby will be in is quite large and is currently my spare room/library. It will continue to be the spare room, in that it will have the futon in it. I do however need to clear out the closet and most of the room that I've been using as storage. I haven't started that yet! Big job. I'm not in a huge hurry though, I still have almost 4 months to get everything together, and since we're keeping everything fairly simple, it shouldn't take too much work once the clearing out is done.
Today I found and arranged to pick up a used crib. I'm pretty proud of myself, it was a great deal.. only $75 for a crib and mattress in good shape. We'll pick it up tomorrow and the baby will officially have somewhere to sleep. Yay! He doesn't have anything else yet (except a few second hand clothes I picked up on the weekend) but hey he's not coming out for a while so he won't notice. As long as he has everything he needs before he gets here that's all that matters.
Exciting stuff.
